How we operate

Over 2/3 of the world’s young people reside in Asia Pacific nations. Youth for Christ indigenous ministries across Asia and the Pacific are reaching out to these young people. We invite you to explore to learn more about these ministries and how the Youth for Christ Asia Pacific team is assisting them.

The Asia Pacific team exists to mobilise indigenous leaders in Asia and the Pacific to reach youth for Christ. We engage, equip, and empower indigenous leaders. Our purpose is to help local leaders effectively reach young people everywhere.

By working together with the local church and other like-minded partners, our desire is to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus who are characterised by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to the Word of God and prayer, boldness in evangelism and commitment to social involvement.

How are we engaging indigenous leaders?

We are constantly working with local churches and like-minded organisations in countries where Youth for Christ does not have a local presence. We meet with local church leaders to understand the youth culture, church situation, and to see if Youth for Christ can effectively assist the local churches to reach out to young people.

How are we equipping indigenous leaders?

We begin by helping to foster strong relationships between the Area team and the national ministries. Then, we develop initiatives targeted to the needs of the area. Equipping indigenous leaders is our primary focus. We have developed an extensive Leadership Development Model that all our initiatives follow.

How are we empowering indigenous leaders?

We are empowering our leaders by providing opportunities to lead, equipping them to lead, and allowing them to lead.

The Asia Pacific area is huge and contains approximately 1.75 billion young people under the age of 20.

Will you give today to reach these young people and give them an opportunity to be a followers of Jesus?
